Carlos Plaud has 20 years’ experience in all around Construction Management and is a second generation Master Carpenter by trade. With a Bachelor's in Construction Management and an Associate's in Drafting and Design, Mr. Plaud understands every aspect of the Construction Management process at an expert level. As a child, Carlos started working with his father, also a Master Carpenter, at the age of 8 years old. He continued to work with him during summers and breaks from school until 16 years of age. At the age of 16, Carlos attended the Tulsa Technology Center for Woodworking technology and began working at Sullivan's Custom Cabinets on the west side of Tulsa. At the age of 18, Carlos started his Apprenticeship with the Local 943 Carpenter’s Union. Through his Apprenticeship, Carlos began to learn the different aspects of Commercial Construction Management by working on such projects as the BOK Center for Williams Construction, The Tulsa Historical Society renovation, and the St. Francis Children’s Hospital Addition on 71st and Yale.
Carlos framed his first house at the age of 22 as a sole proprietor and continued in the framing industry for the next 7 years. After completing his education, Carlos spent the next couple years as a traveling superintendent managing big name projects such as, Torrid, Hot Topic, Pac-Sun, Kirkland’s, Boot barn, and many more. During this time, Carlos was able to get his license as a Class B Commercial General Contractor out of Loveland CO. In 2016, Carlos came back to his hometown of Tulsa OK to settle down from traveling and start TCP Commercial Contractors.
His biggest project was the Broadway Apartments in Denver CO. It was a 303,000 sq. ft. new construction project.
